Sliver TUP 25 test pressing
Black vinyl test pressing with Mayking Records labels. The catalog number is handwritten on one copy (and a stamped "B" on side B), while another also have the date, 7th Nov 90. A different type of pen is used on the two copies found, still I believe the text was most likely added by the pressing plant on both copies. Pressed by MPO in France for Mayking, as they had a partnership with Mayking. Usually 25 test pressings were made for releases they thought would sell well, which were used to gather advance orders from retailers throughout UK. However, it seems the 12" test pressing satisfied that need, so it's reasonable to conclude that there were made much fewer 7" test pressings. None of the copies found came with release sheets, which further strengthens that theory. Comes in clear inner sleeves with handwritten catalog number and stamped "A" and date "7 NOV 1990". The "NS" part of the matrix code is the signature of the person who cut the record.
