The Chinese editions of Alone In The Dark The New Nightmare were released by SunTendy (Xintiandi) on license from Infogrames Taiwan. SunTendy was in business from 1997 to January 2005.

The budget edition came with the same discs as the previous edition. They came together with a manual and response card in a two-piece carton box again housed inside a cardboard box. The discs were placed inside thin sleeves also having spindle holes. The disc-like item taped to the spindle is either the top of one of those sleeves or other protection for the discs.
