The disc was given out at Games Convention in Leipzig in 2008, or sent to magazines after the show. In the latter case, it may have been sent outside of Germany. It came in a clear plastic sleeve, although it is not confirmed that it was the original sleeve. The handwritten number on the copy shown below was written by the recipient.

It contains Resident Evil 5 artwork, screenshots, logos, two gameplay videos, trailers, and a fact sheet.
