The Pennyroyal Tea single was cancelled shortly before release date, and the only releases which escaped complete destruction were the German CD single and the UK promo. Various test pressings are rumored, but none have so far been confirmed. The German CD single was distributed before the release was cancelled. It was recalled before any could be sold, but many escaped destruction.
The UK promo was returned to the pressing plant due to an error in the music publishers' credits, and of the supposedly 1000 made only a few survived.
